Job Summary
SAMMS TECH SPM & AUTOMATION is looking for a skilled Assembly Fitter with 1–5 years of experience in machine assembly, fitting, and installation. The candidate will be responsible for assembling Special Purpose Machines (SPM), automation equipment, and mechanical components as per engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble SPM machines, automation systems, and mechanical sub-assemblies.
- Interpret engineering drawings and assembly layouts.
- Perform fitting, drilling, tapping, alignment, and mechanical assembly activities.
- Install and assemble pneumatic and mechanical components.
- Ensure proper alignment and functioning of machine parts.
- Conduct machine trials and support commissioning activities.
- Identify and rectify assembly-related issues.
- Coordinate with Design and Production teams for smooth project execution.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workplace cleanliness.
- Follow safety standards and company procedures.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of machine assembly and fitting practices.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
- Hands-on experience in drilling, tapping, grinding, and alignment.
- Knowledge of pneumatic components and machine mechanisms.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualification
- ITI Fitter / Turner / Machinist
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)
