Job SummaryWe are looking for a vigilant, qualified, and experienced Safety Officer to champion a zero-accident culture across our active project sites. You will be responsible for enforcing health and safety protocols, conducting rigorous site inspections, and ensuring total compliance with safety regulations across our construction, MEP, and HVAC operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Policy Enforcement: Implement, monitor, and update comprehensive workplace health and safety policies aligned with industry standards.
- Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular on-site safety patrols, risk assessments, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) to identify potential hazards.
- Corrective & Preventive Actions: Swiftly address unsafe acts or conditions, initiating immediate corrective and preventive measures (CAPA).
- Training & Tool-Box Talks: Lead engaging daily/weekly safety briefings, inductions, and training sessions for workers and subcontractors.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to local labor laws, building safety codes, and statutory safety regulations.
- PPE Management: Enforce and monitor the proper utilization and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across all sites.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate near-misses, accidents, or injuries thoroughly, preparing detailed root-cause analysis reports and recommendations.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain meticulous safety logs, incident registers, compliance audits, and daily safety reporting.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate seamlessly with project managers, site engineers, and MEP/HVAC installation teams to maintain uncompromising safety standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / EEE / Civil) or a dedicated degree in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).
- Mandatory Certifications: Valid certification in Industrial Safety along with NEBOSH (IGC) or ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety).
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven hands-on safety management experience, specifically within construction, MEP, or HVAC project sites.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment (HIRA), and statutory safety compliance.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities to handle diverse site teams effectively.
