Job Objective
Shalby MedTech is seeking an experienced and business-oriented Chartered Accountant to lead the Finance & Accounts function. The incumbent will be responsible for the end-to-end financial management of the organization, ensuring robust financial controls, statutory compliance, accurate reporting, and strategic financial support.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership
- Lead the complete Finance & Accounts function of the organization.
- Ensure accurate and timely finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee preparation of the Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, and all financial reports.
- Present financial performance and key insights to the leadership team.
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventory Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Banking Operations.
- Ensure accurate accounting of sales, purchases, inventory, imports, exports, and manufacturing transactions.
- Drive month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
Financial Planning & Business Partnering
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis.
- Monitor business profitability and working capital.
- Provide strategic financial inputs to management for business expansion and operational efficiency.
- Develop and monitor financial KPIs and dashboards.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with IND AS, Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, TDS, FEMA (where applicable), and other statutory requirements.
- Oversee all statutory filings and regulatory compliances.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and corporate governance practices.
Audit & Risk Management
- Lead statutory, internal, tax, GST, and cost audits.
- Liaise with auditors, consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions.
- Identify financial and operational risks and recommend mitigation measures.
Consolidation & Reporting
- Manage consolidation of financial statements across entities/business units.
- Prepare management reports, Board presentations, and financial MIS.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior leadership.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor the Finance & Accounts team.
- Allocate responsibilities, review team performance, and drive continuous process improvements.
- Implement automation and ERP best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
