**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Transcriptionist to transcribe and edit medical reports dictated by healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent listening skills, and the ability to produce accurate, timely documentation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Transcribe dictated medical reports, including patient histories, physical examinations, operative reports, discharge summaries, and consultation notes.
- Review and edit transcriptions for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to input and manage documentation.
- Ensure all transcriptions adhere to medical and institutional guidelines.
- Manage workload to meet deadlines and prioritize urgent reports.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify unclear dictations when necessary.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or in a similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Proficiency in transcription software and EMR systems.
- Exceptional listening, typing, and editing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Certification (such as AAMT or CMT) is preferred but not mandatory.
