Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Instrumental Music Teacher to conduct music classes and train students in playing musical instruments. The ideal candidate should be capable of nurturing musical talent across different age groups, preparing students for performances, competitions, and school events while creating an engaging and inspiring learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct instrumental music classes for students from Pre-Primary to Class XII (as assigned).
- Teach one or more instruments such as Keyboard, Guitar instruments.
- Plan and deliver structured lessons according to students' age and skill levels.
- Prepare students for school assemblies, annual functions, cultural events, competitions, and inter-school performances.
- Identify and develop students with exceptional musical abilities.
- Maintain attendance and progress records of students.
- Ensure the proper handling, maintenance, and storage of musical instruments.
- Collaborate with school staff during cultural programmes and special events.
- Encourage creativity, teamwork, discipline, and confidence through music education.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma/Certification in Music (Instrumental) from a recognized institution.
- Trinity College London, ABRSM, or equivalent certifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 1-3 years of teaching or professional performance experience (school experience preferred).
- Strong practical proficiency in the instrument(s) being taught.
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of different age groups.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of both Western and Indian music styles.
- Ability to read staff notation and/or Indian notation.
- Experience in preparing students for graded examinations and competitions.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic, patient, and student-focused approach.
