Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to handle end-to-end execution of government projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordination, vendor management, and ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution
- Manage complete lifecycle of projects from initiation to closure
- Develop project plans, timelines, and execution strategies
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Vendor Management
- Identify, onboard, and manage vendors/service providers
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve escalations
- Costing & Budget Control
- Prepare project costing, budgeting, and variation analysis
- Track expenses and ensure cost optimization
- Handle billing, invoicing, and financial reporting
- Operations & Coordination
- Assign tasks and monitor team performance
- Coordinate with internal teams and government authorities
- Ensure smooth execution during examinations/election projects
- Audit & Compliance
- Prepare audit reports and maintain documentation
- Ensure compliance with government norms and tender requirements
- Handle inspections and reporting
- Training & Team Management
- Conduct training sessions for field staff and vendors
- Ensure workforce readiness before project deployment
- Risk & Issue Management
- Identify risks and develop mitigation plans
- Handle on-ground challenges and escalations effectively
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management / Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in handling government/tender-based projects
- Strong knowledge of operations, vendor management, and costing
- Excellent coordination, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage large-scale field operations (exam/election setups preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting, and documentation
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Biometric, CCTV Surveillance, Security Services, or Election/Examination Projects
- Exposure to GeM / Tender Bidding processes
