Post - Customer Account Manager.
The Customer Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing existing B2B customer accounts. The primary objective is to increase customer retention, expand product penetration, and maximize revenue from existing clients by identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities. Rather than acquiring new customers, this role focuses on strengthening long-term relationships and increasing each customer's share of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of existing domestic and international B2B customers.
- Develop strong relationships with procurement, R&D, quality, and commercial teams of customers.
- Understand customer product requirements, business plans, and future demand.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell additional herbal extracts, nutraceutical ingredients, spices, and oleoresins.
- Increase wallet share by introducing complementary products based on customer applications.
- Conduct periodic business reviews with customers.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Logistics, and Finance for timely order execution.
- Track repeat orders and identify gaps in purchasing patterns.
- Prepare annual account growth plans for assigned customers.
- Negotiate pricing within company guidelines.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate customer records, opportunities, and follow-ups in the CRM.
- Monitor competitors, industry trends, and customer requirements.
- Support new product launches within existing accounts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Food Technology, or related field.
- MBA (Marketing/International Business) preferred.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in Key Account Management or B2B Sales.
- Experience in Herbal Extracts, Nutraceuticals, Botanical Ingredients, Food Ingredients, APIs, or Specialty Chemicals is preferred.
