Job Summary:
We are looking for a VAVE Engineer with experience in Value Analysis & Value Engineering, Product Cost Optimization, and Mechanical Design. The candidate will be responsible for identifying cost reduction opportunities, supporting design improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product value without compromising quality, performance, or reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Value Analysis & Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives for existing products.
- Identify opportunities for product cost reduction through design and process improvements.
- Perform cost analysis of components, assemblies, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Participate in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) reviews.
- Work closely with Design, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality teams for implementation of VAVE projects.
- Analyze BOMs and recommend cost-effective alternatives.
- Support Engineering Change Notices (ECN/CN) and design modifications.
- Conduct product benchmarking and competitor analysis.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and cost-saving proposals.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements.
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in Mechanical Design, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or VAVE.
- Knowledge of Value Engineering and Cost Reduction methodologies.
- Understanding of DFM, DFA, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with BOM analysis and product cost estimation.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
