AMC Operation Head

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to lead the Operations function for our Portfolio Management Services (PMS) and Alternative Investment Funds (AIF). This leadership role is critical to ensure the smooth, compliant, and efficient functioning of the operations team and plays a key role in supporting business growth and client satisfaction.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:
Oversee and manage all day-to-day operational activities across PMS and AIF platforms, ensuring timely execution of transactions, client reporting, reconciliations, and settlements.
Process Optimization:
Continuously review and improve operational workflows and processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time.
Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team to deliver high-quality output and maintain strong coordination across departments.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to SEBI regulations and internal compliance policies related to PMS and AIF operations.
Vendor & Custodian Coordination:
Manage relationships with custodians, fund accountants, R&T agents, auditors, and other service providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
Client Reporting & MIS:
Oversee timely and accurate preparation and distribution of client reports, regulatory filings, and management dashboards.
System & Technology Integration:
Work closely with technology teams to implement and upgrade operational systems, automation tools, and digital platforms.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Liaise with senior management, compliance, finance, risk, and investment teams to ensure alignment on operational strategy and execution.

Role Requirement

Graduate/Postgraduate (MBA/CA preferred)

10–15 years of experience in operations within the AMC / PMS / AIF industry

Deep knowledge of SEBI regulations for PMS and AIF

Strong understanding of back-office, middle-office, and settlement processes

Experience in managing operational risk and implementing process controls

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
