Key Responsibilities
- Execute trades in US equities and options across major exchanges (NYSE, NASDAQ, CBOE) on behalf of the firm's book
- Analyze market trends, volatility, and price action to identify equity and options trading opportunities
- Develop and execute options strategies (e.g., spreads, covered calls, straddles) aligned with defined risk parameters
- Apply fundamental and technical analysis to support trade timing and strategy selection
- Monitor options Greeks (delta, gamma, theta, vega) and overall portfolio risk exposure
- Provide market commentary and trade insights to internal stakeholders and, where applicable, clients
- Ensure all trading activity complies with internal risk management policies and relevant regulatory requirements
- Track US macroeconomic data, earnings releases, and corporate news that may impact positions
- Maintain accurate trade records, reconcile positions, and report on daily P&L
- Work US market hours (evening/night shift IST) and collaborate with global trading and research teams
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in equities trading, stock brokering, or investment research (options trading experience strongly preferred)
- Sound knowledge of equity markets and a genuine interest in financial markets and securities trading
- Working knowledge of technical analysis and methods of trading
- Familiarity with trading platforms and order execution systems used for US markets
- Sound knowledge of economics and finance, with an understanding of US market structure and trading hours
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; a professional qualification such as CFA, CIMA, or ACCA is preferred
- Understanding of options pricing concepts and risk management techniques
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Genuine interest in staying current with US market trends, economic data, and global developments
- Willingness and flexibility to work US market hours from India
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience trading US equities and/or options, whether proprietary, institutional, or brokerage-based
- Familiarity with US options pricing models and volatility-based strategies
