Job Summary:
Steerway Business Consultants is hiring a Testing Engineer to ensure manufactured products meet quality, safety, and performance standards. This role involves conducting tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Perform product testing and inspection at various stages of manufacturing.
- Develop and implement test procedures and quality standards.
- Conduct mechanical, electrical, or functional testing depending on the industry.
- Analyze test results and identify defects or deviations.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain detailed records of test data and prepare quality reports.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and safety regulations.
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
- Knowledge of quality control processes in manufacturing.
- Familiarity with testing tools and equipment such as gauges, meters, and calipers.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Basic knowledge of statistical quality control (SQC).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Technical skills depending on the industry, including:
- Mechanical testing (tensile, hardness, fatigue testing).
- Electrical testing (voltage, current, insulation testing).
- Knowledge of quality tools like Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
- Experience with ERP/QMS systems.
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 0–3 years of experience (Freshers welcome for junior roles).
- Certification in Quality Control / Six Sigma (Green Belt).
- Experience in manufacturing industries such as automotive, electronics, or machinery.
