As we rapidly scale our operations, we are looking for a detail-oriented, trustworthy, and organized Accounts Intern to support our finance team and gain hands-on experience in corporate accounting and financial operations.
Role Overview
As an Accounts Intern, you will play an essential role in keeping our day-to-day financial operations running smoothly. You will assist with bookkeeping, invoicing, expense tracking, and compliance, giving you complete visibility into how finance functions within a fast-growing tech startup.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping & Data Entry: Maintain accurate financial records by entering daily transactions (expenses, receipts, and payments) into accounting software.
- Invoicing & Billing: Assist in generating and sending invoices to clients, tracking outstanding payments, and managing follow-ups.
- Expense Management: Verify and process employee expense claims and vendor bills against company policies.
- Bank Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements with internal accounting ledgers to ensure accuracy.
- Documentation & Archiving: Maintain systematic digital records of vouchers, invoices, tax documents, and receipts for easy retrieval.
- Compliance Support: Help the team gather and organize data required for statutory filings (GST, TDS, and corporate taxes).
Who We Are Looking For (Required Skills)
- Educational Background: B.Com, M.Com, BBA (Finance), MBA (Finance), or students pursuing professional accounting courses (CA/CMA/CS).
- Software Familiarity: Basic knowledge of accounting software (like Tally, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books) and proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets.
- Core Concepts: Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, journal entries, ledger maintenance, and basic Indian taxation (GST/TDS).
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry and a sharp eye for identifying numerical discrepancies.
- Ethical Standard: High level of integrity, confidentiality, and responsibility when handling sensitive financial data.
