To assist faculty members in delivering high-quality academic and practical training in fashion design and related subjects while supporting student development, departmental activities, and creative learning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:-
Academic Responsibilities
- Assist faculty members in conducting theory and practical classes
- Support teaching in subjects related to fashion illustrations, textile studies, garment construction, draping and pattern making.
- Prepare teaching aids, presentations, assignments, and demonstrations materials.
- Mentor students in academic and practical projects.
Practical & Laboratory Support:-
- Supervise studio sessions, workshops, and practical training activities.
- Maintain fashion laboratories, sewing machines, tools, fabrics, and equipment.
- Ensure proper usage and upkeep of departmental resources.
Student Development:-
- Guides students in portfolio preparations, fashion shows, exhibitions, and competitions.
- Monitor student attendance , discipline, and academic progress.
- Encourage creativity, innovation, and professional ethics among students.
Administrative Responsibilities:-
- Assist in departmental documentation and academic coordination.
- Support NAAC/NBA-related documentations and institutional activities.
- Coordinate seminars, workshops, guest lecture, and industry interaction programs.
Evaluation & Assessment:-
- Assist faculty members in assignment evaluation and practical assessments.
- Maintain records related to student performance and practical work.
Educational Qualifications:-
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Fashion Design/Textile Design/Apparel Design/Related Discipline from a recognized institutions.
Required Skills & Competencies:-
- Strong knowledge of fashion design fundamentals.
- Understanding of garment construction and textile materials.
- Creative and artistic aptitude.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to mentor and manage students effectively.
- Basic knowledge of fashion design software preferred
- Organizational and teamwork abilities.
Experience:-
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience in teaching or industry exposure in fashion /apparel sector will be preferred.
