SAP PI/PO Consultant – Job Description
Role: SAP PI/PO Consultant - ONSITE - client location - vijayawada
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP PI/PO Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Process Integration/Process Orchestration (PI/PO). The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting integration solutions between SAP and non-SAP systems to ensure seamless and secure data exchange across enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in middleware integrations, API/web service integrations, interface monitoring, troubleshooting, and secure communication protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support integration interfaces using SAP PI/PO
Build and maintain integration scenarios such as:
REST → SOAP
SOAP → REST
SFTP → SAP
SAP ↔ Non-SAP integrations
Develop end-to-end integration interfaces between SAP ECC and external applications
Configure and work with adapters including:
REST
SOAP
RFC
SFTP
JDBC
HTTPS
IDoc
OData
AS2
Develop and maintain RFC integrations between SAP ECC and third-party systems
Implement API/web service integrations using OAuth 2.0, API Keys, and Bearer Tokens
Perform XML ↔ XML and JSON ↔ XML transformations
Design mappings using:
MESSAGE MAPPING
Graphical Mapping
User Defined Functions (UDFs)
XSLT
Develop Java/UDF-based custom logic for validations and transformations
Configure:
Integrated Configuration Objects (ICO)
Sender/Receiver Agreements
Communication Channels
Routing conditions
Implement exception handling, alerts, and reprocessing mechanisms
Manage Value Mapping and Security Materials (certificates, credentials)
Monitor interfaces using:
Message Monitor
Runtime Workbench
Communication Channel Monitoring
Trace and Payload Monitoring
Perform API testing using Postman
Conduct unit testing, SIT, UAT support, and production deployments
Handle transport management using CTS+/TMS
Troubleshoot interface failures and perform root cause analysis
Prepare technical specifications, mapping documents, interface design documents, and test cases
Collaborate with functional and business teams to understand integration requirements
Provide production support, incident resolution, and performance optimization
