In an SG Iron (Ductile Iron) Foundry, a Sales Coordinator acts as the link between customers, sales, production, planning, quality, and dispatch. The role focuses on order coordination, customer communication, and ensuring on-time delivery.
Sales Coordinator – Roles & Responsibilities (SG Iron Foundry)
1. Customer Order Management
- Receive and process customer enquiries, RFQs, purchase orders, and schedules.
- Verify order details such as casting grade, drawing revision, quantity, delivery date, and special requirements.
- Create and update sales orders in the ERP system.
- Maintain order acknowledgement and order tracking records.
2. Quotation & Commercial Coordination
- Prepare quotations based on inputs from the sales team and costing department.
- Follow up with customers regarding quotation status.
- Coordinate price revisions, amendments, and commercial approvals.
- Maintain customer-wise pricing and contract records.
3. Production & Planning Coordination
- Share customer requirements with production planning (PPC).
- Monitor pattern availability, machining status, and production progress.
- Follow up on new development samples, trials, and PPAP/APQP activities where applicable.
- Coordinate revised delivery commitments with internal departments.
4. Customer Communication
- Provide order status, dispatch details, and delivery updates to customers.
- Handle customer queries and escalate issues to the concerned departments.
- Arrange meetings, review calls, and maintain MOM (Minutes of Meeting) follow-ups.
- Build and maintain good customer relationships.
5. Dispatch & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate dispatch schedules with stores and logistics teams.
- Ensure packing, documentation, and transportation arrangements are completed on time.
- Share invoice, e-way bill, LR, and dispatch information with customers.
- Track deliveries and resolve transit-related issues.
6. Quality & Complaint Coordination
- Coordinate customer complaints with the quality department.
- Track containment, corrective actions, and closure of customer concerns.
- Maintain records of customer NCRs, rejections, and responses.
- Support customer audits by arranging required documents and communication.
7. MIS & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Monitor pending orders, overdue deliveries, and dispatch performance.
- Update management on customer commitments and critical issues.
- Maintain customer master data and documentation.
Key Skills Required

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
