About Us
Vikrama Heritage Resort is a 4-star luxury heritage property set in foothills of Pavagadh, Gujarat, offering heritage rooms, suites, and havelis with private splash pools, along with spa, dining, and destination wedding facilities. As we move into our pre-opening phase, we are looking for a passionate and experienced HR Manager to build our people function from the ground up, from the first hire to opening day and beyond.
Position Overview
The HR Manager will be responsible for establishing and leading the entire human resources function at Vikrama Heritage Resort during the critical pre-opening period. This includes talent acquisition, compliance, policy creation, onboarding, and building a service-first culture aligned with our brand values. Experience in the Gujarat hospitality market and an understanding of its cultural and workforce nuances is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end pre-opening recruitment across all departments: Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, Sales, Maintenance, and Administration
- Design and implement HR policies, SOPs, org charts, and onboarding programs from scratch
- Ensure full statutory compliance: EPF, ESI, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, and applicable Gujarat labour regulations
- Structure compensation frameworks, salary bands, and benefit structures aligned to 4-star hospitality benchmarks
- Coordinate pre-opening training, induction programs, and departmental readiness for opening day
- Set up payroll processes, attendance systems, and HRMS tools in coordination with the finance team
- Drive staff motivation, training culture, and retention practices from day one
- Build and enforce grooming standards, service culture norms, and brand values across all teams
- Act as a strategic HR partner to ownership on workforce planning and employee relations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
- 6–10 years of HR experience, with at least 4 years in a hotel or resort environment
- Prior pre-opening, brownfield or greenfield hotel HR experience strongly preferred
- Solid working knowledge of Indian statutory compliance: EPF, ESI, Gratuity, Minimum Wages
- Proficiency in HRMS and payroll software; exposure to hospitality PMS is a plus
- Strong knowledge of the Gujarat market, including cultural and workforce nuances
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills (knows how to inspire, not intimidate)
- Fluency in Hindi and English; Gujarati an advantage

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
