Job Title: Accountant – Retail Jewellery Store

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with prior jewellery industry experience to manage day-to-day accounting operations for our retail store. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with invoicing, statutory compliance, inventory reconciliation, and financial reporting in a retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Generate and post sales/purchase invoices and maintain accurate transaction records
Record journal entries and update financial statements regularly
Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable
Process monthly payroll and manage related compliance
Reconcile stock/inventory records with financial accounts
Prepare and file TDS and GST returns
Prepare accounts, tax returns, and statutory filings
Administer payroll and monitor income and expenditure
Support internal and external audits of financial information
Compile and present financial reports, budgets, business plans, and management commentaries
Analyze accounts and business plans to support decision-making
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in jewellery retail or a related industry
Practical knowledge of TDS, GST, and statutory return filing
Familiarity with jewellery stock/inventory accounting practices
Strong communication and reporting skills
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
Graduate degree with Accounting as a core subject
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
