We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Design Engineer specialising in CAD/CAM software to join our dynamic team. As a Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and improving our product designs using industry-leading software tools such as CAD, CAM, and AutoCAD.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand design requirements and translate them into practical and feasible solutions.
- Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to create detailed 2D and 3D models of equipment components and assemblies.
- Employ CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to generate machining paths and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Develop design concepts, sketches, and prototypes to validate functionality and performance.
- Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and specifications.
- Collaborate with production engineers to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and efficient production processes.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve design quality and performance.
- Create technical documentation, including design drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and assembly instructions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to select appropriate materials and components for designs.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in CAD/CAM technologies, tools, and best practices.
- Assist in troubleshooting design-related issues during the manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing design enhancements and optimization strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Design Engineer, preferably in the equipment manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Pro/ENGINEER) for creating 2D and 3D models.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in CAM software (e.g., ViziCAM, Mastercam, NX CAM) for generating machining paths.
- Proficient in AutoCAD for creating and editing technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret and analyze technical specifications and requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
Pay: ₹11,221.19 - ₹46,105.47 per month
