The Lab Technician / Site Trial Technician is responsible for conducting product testing, quality checks, and on-site plaster trials at construction projects across Mumbai. The role involves visiting sites, assisting customers and applicators during product application, monitoring trial performance, and coordinating with the technical and sales teams to ensure successful product usage and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Visit construction sites across Mumbai to conduct plaster product trials and application demonstrations.
* Coordinate with contractors, applicators, builders, and site engineers during product trials.
* Prepare and test plaster samples as per company standards and site requirements.
* Monitor product performance during application and provide technical guidance on mixing and usage.
* Record trial observations, site conditions, product consumption, and performance results.
* Assist in resolving on-site technical issues related to plaster application.
* Conduct laboratory testing for raw materials and finished products when required.
* Maintain testing records, reports, and quality documentation.
* Coordinate with sales and technical teams regarding customer feedback and site requirements.
* Ensure proper handling and usage of testing equipment and materials.
* Support quality control and product improvement activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or related field.
* Experience in construction materials, gypsum plaster, cement products, wall putty, or dry mix products preferred.
* Basic understanding of plaster application methods and construction site practices.
* Willingness to travel extensively across Mumbai for site visits and product trials.
* Good communication and coordination skills.
* Ability to prepare technical reports and maintain records.
* Physically fit for regular fieldwork and site activities.
Preferred Candidate Profile
* Candidate familiar with Mumbai city and construction project locations.
* Experience handling on-site product trials and technical support preferred.
