We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment systems and equipment. The successful candidate will ensure the plant operates efficiently and in compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment plant equipment, including pumps, blowers, aeration systems, clarifiers, filters, chemical dosing systems, and sludge-handling equipment.
- Monitor plant processes, flow rates, water levels, chemical usage, and treatment performance.
- Collect wastewater and treated-water samples and perform routine laboratory tests as required.
- Make process adjustments based on test results and operating conditions.
- Inspect equipment regularly and identify abnormal operating conditions, leaks, alarms, or mechanical issues.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of pumps, valves, motors, and other plant equipment.
- Maintain accurate operating logs, inspection records, laboratory results, maintenance records, and regulatory documentation.
- Handle and monitor treatment chemicals safely and follow all required chemical-handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the treatment facility.
- Follow company policies, environmental regulations, and all applicable health and safety requirements.
- Respond appropriately to equipment failures, process upsets, alarms, spills, and other plant emergencies.
- Assist maintenance personnel and contractors with repairs, inspections, and plant improvement projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or Supervisor.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
