Logistics Manager – Experience & Responsibilities
Experience Required:
- 8–12 years of experience in logistics, transportation, and supply chain management.
- Proven experience in managing return loads (backhaul) and part-load (LTL) transportation to optimize freight costs.
- Hands-on experience in intra-state and inter-state logistics operations across India.
- Strong experience using transport bidding/e-auction software for freight procurement and rate negotiations.
- Experience in managing transport vendors, fleet utilization, and carrier performance.
- Knowledge of route planning, freight optimization, and load consolidation.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Good understanding of statutory requirements, e-way bills, GST documentation, and transport compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Optimize transportation costs through return loads, part-load shipments, and route planning.
- Conduct transport bidding and negotiate freight rates with transporters.
- Monitor transporter performance, service levels, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with production, sales, warehouses, and customers to ensure timely dispatches.
- Analyze logistics KPIs, including freight cost, vehicle utilization, transit time, and on-time delivery.
- Resolve transportation issues and implement continuous process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and statutory regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with transporters and logistics service providers.
- Prepare logistics reports, MIS, and cost-saving initiatives for management review.
Pay: ₹10,478.34 - ₹39,040.55 per month
