About Zone 5
Zone 5 is a premium fitness and wellness club bringing together training, recovery, and wellness under one roof. We are looking for a Front of House Manager who can take ownership of the day-to-day member experience and ensure the club operates smoothly, professionally, and consistently.
This is a highly people-oriented role requiring strong organisational, communication, sales, and management skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Front of House & Club Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the front desk and common areas.
- Ensure the club is organised, welcoming, clean, and running smoothly throughout the day.
- Handle member queries, requests, feedback, and operational issues.
- Coordinate with different teams to ensure a seamless experience for every client.
- Maintain high standards of hospitality and professionalism.
2. Gym Management Software
- Manage and maintain the club’s gym management software, including member profiles, memberships, bookings, payments, attendance, freezes, cancellations, and other relevant records.
- Manage class schedules, capacity, bookings, and client attendance.
- Ensure all client information and operational records are accurate and up to date.
- Assist clients with bookings, app-related queries, and account issues.
3. Tours & Sales
- Conduct tours of Zone 5 for prospective members and confidently present our facilities, services, and membership options.
- Handle enquiries from leads across phone, WhatsApp, social media, and walk-ins.
- Follow up with leads and convert enquiries into memberships.
- Maintain an organised sales pipeline and ensure no lead is left unattended.
- Meet agreed monthly sales and conversion targets.
- Build strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
4. Coach & Team Management
- Coordinate with coaches and instructors to ensure classes run on time and according to schedule.
- Monitor coach attendance, punctuality, and overall professionalism.
- Assist with scheduling and finding cover for coach/instructor absences.
- Communicate operational updates and client feedback to the coaching team.
- Help maintain consistent service standards across all classes and studios.
5. Client Relationships & Experience
- Build strong relationships with members and create a welcoming community environment.
- Proactively identify and resolve client concerns.
- Handle complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Gather and communicate member feedback to management.
- Monitor member satisfaction and help improve retention.
- Ensure new members receive a smooth and personalised onboarding experience.
6. Cleaning & Facility Management
- Manage and coordinate the cleaning team and daily cleaning schedules.
- Conduct regular checks of training areas, washrooms, studios, reception, and other common areas.
- Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained to Zone 5’s cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Identify maintenance or facility issues and coordinate with the relevant team for resolution.
- Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning and front-of-house essentials.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in hospitality, fitness, retail, premium customer service, or a similar operations-focused role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable with sales, follow-ups, and achieving targets.
- Confident managing software and digital systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and coordinate a small team.
- Professional, presentable, energetic, and approachable personality.
- A genuine interest in fitness, wellness, hospitality, or community building is a strong advantage.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal person for this role is someone who can own the front of house rather than simply sit at reception.
You should be comfortable switching between conducting a tour, helping a member with a booking, following up with a sales lead, coordinating with a coach, resolving a client issue, and checking that the facility is clean and ready — often within the same hour.
You will be one of the primary faces of Zone 5, so attitude, ownership, communication, and attention to detail are extremely important.
