Perform advanced feasibility studies to determine project viability, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment with organizational goals. Provide expert guidance on site selection to optimize resource utilization and project success.
2.System Design
Develop and oversee the creation of detailed, high-quality designs for solar PV systems, including site layouts, electrical schematics, equipment specifications, and integration plans. Apply advanced optimization techniques to enhance system performance, considering factors such as panel orientation, tilt angles, inverter selection, and system redundancy. Ensure all designs adhere strictly to local codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Lead interconnection due diligence efforts, including performing complex study calculations and liaising with utility providers to facilitate seamless grid integration.
3.Collaboration & Teamwork
Coordinate effectively with a team of 2-4 engineers, designers, and CAD drafters, providing technical mentorship and ensuring cohesive integration of project components. Foster clear and proactive communication with cross-disciplinary teams, including project managers, environmental specialists, electrical engineers, and external stakeholders, to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.
4.Technology Assement
Maintain a proactive approach to staying abreast of the latest advancements in solar PV technology, materials, and industry best practices. Evaluate new components, innovative materials, and emerging technologies, providing strategic recommendations to improve system efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Lead initiatives to incorporate cutting-edge solutions into project designs, driving continuous improvement.
5.Regulatory Compliance
Navigate complex regulatory landscapes at local, state, and federal levels, ensuring all project activities comply with applicable laws and standards. Prepare, review, and submit comprehensive documentation for permits, environmental assessments, and regulatory approvals. Act as a subject matter expert in interpreting evolving regulations and advising project teams accordingly.
6.Cost Estimation and Budgeting
Collaborate with financial and procurement teams to develop accurate project cost estimates and budgets. Lead value engineering efforts to optimize design solutions, balancing performance, quality, and cost considerations. Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising system integrity or long-term performance.
7.Construction Support
Provide expert technical support during the construction phase, addressing design-related questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring adherence to specifications. Work closely with construction teams to verify that installations align with design intent, quality standards, and safety protocols. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality.
8.Quality Assurance /Quality Control (QA/AC)
Develop and implement comprehensive QA/QC procedures to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of installed PV systems. Lead post-commissioning reviews, including system testing and performance verification, to confirm compliance with design specifications and operational standards. Identify and address any deficiencies proactively.
9.Documentation
Oversee the management of all technical documentation, including design drawings, calculations, reports, and compliance records.
