About the Role
NSTC–NanoSchool is looking for a creative and skilled Junior Video Editor with practical knowledge of Wondershare Filmora, Adobe Express Premium, and Canva. The candidate will create and edit educational and promotional content for NanoSchool’s workshops, courses, internships and Live Lab programmes.
Key Responsibilities
· Edit videos using Wondershare Filmora Video Editor.
· Edit recordings of workshops, courses, internships and Live Lab sessions.
· Remove unwanted sections, long pauses, technical issues and background noise.
· Divide long recordings into well-organised modules and lessons.
· Add intros, outros, titles, subtitles, logos, speaker details and branding elements.
· Improve video and audio quality through colour correction, noise reduction and audio enhancement.
· Edit practical demonstrations and Live Lab videos in a clear and professional format.
· Create promotional videos for workshops, courses, internships and Live Lab programmes.
· Convert long educational videos into Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn videos.
· Design thumbnails, banners, posters, social media creatives and video graphics using Adobe Express Premium and Canva.
· Use templates, brand kits, animations and premium design assets effectively.
· Add transitions, animations, graphics, background music and sound effects.
· Resize and export videos and creatives according to different platform requirements.
· Organise raw footage, design files, project files and final content.
· Coordinate with programme coordinators, mentors and the marketing team.
· Maintain NanoSchool’s branding and complete projects within deadlines.
Required Skills
· 1–2 years of professional video-editing or multimedia-design experience.
· Strong working knowledge of Wondershare Filmora Video Editor.
· Practical knowledge of Adobe Express Premium.
· Strong knowledge of Canva, including templates, brand kits, animations and resizing tools.
· Experience in editing educational, promotional and social media videos.
· Ability to create professional thumbnails, banners, posters and social media creatives.
· Knowledge of subtitles, transitions, animations, audio editing and colour correction.
· Understanding of video formats, resolutions and aspect ratios.
· Ability to convert long videos into engaging short-form content.
· Creativity, attention to detail and good time-management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Multimedia, Mass Communication, Film Production, Animation, Graphic Design or a related field.
· Experience in editing online courses, workshops, webinars or training videos.
· Basic understanding of YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and current social media trends.
· Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects or DaVinci Resolve will be an advantage.
