Job Summary
Pattabhi Agro Foods Pvt Ltd is looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager from the FMCG sector to lead and drive business growth across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions. The candidate will be responsible for overall sales operations, distribution expansion, channel management, market penetration, revenue growth, team handling, and strategic business development for the company’s FMCG product portfolio. Similar FMCG leadership roles emphasize multi-regional sales management, distributor development, revenue growth, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve business targets.
- Drive primary and secondary sales growth across AP & Telangana.
- Increase market share and strengthen brand visibility.
- Identify new business opportunities in General Trade, Modern Trade, HoReCa, Institutional Sales, and Retail channels.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Distribution & Channel Management
- Appoint and manage distributors, super stockists, dealers, and retail networks.
- Expand distribution reach in urban and rural markets.
- Ensure proper stock availability and market coverage.
- Monitor distributor ROI, market hygiene, and supply chain efficiency.
Team Management
- Lead and manage Regional Sales Managers, Area Sales Managers, Sales Officers, and field sales teams.
- Set KRAs, KPIs, and sales targets for the team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, training, and motivation programs.
- Build a high-performance sales culture.
Market & Business Analysis
- Conduct competitor analysis and monitor market trends.
- Develop pricing strategies, trade schemes, and promotional activities.
- Analyze sales data and prepare MIS reports for management review.
- Forecast demand and coordinate with production and supply chain teams.
Customer & Key Account Management
- Build strong relationships with key distributors, institutional buyers, and major retail accounts.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.
- Handle major negotiations and commercial agreements.
Operations Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Finance, HR, Logistics, Procurement, and Marketing departments for smooth business operations.
- Ensure timely dispatches and proper inventory management.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and business standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
- MBA in Marketing / Sales / Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum 12–18 years of experience in FMCG Industry.
- At least 5+ years in a senior leadership role handling AP & Telangana markets.
- Strong experience in Food Products, Rice, Atta, Edible Oil, Spices, or Agro-based FMCG products preferred.
- Strong knowledge of General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), and distribution management.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience in managing large sales teams and multi-location operations. FMCG employers commonly prioritize distribution strategy, GT/MT handling, revenue management, and regional leadership experience. (Randstad)
