Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily Farm Operations
- Supervise overall poultry farm activities (feeding, watering, lighting, ventilation).
2. Poultry Health & Biosecurity
- Maintain strict biosecurity measures (disinfection, visitor control, sanitation).
- Identify early signs of disease and report to veterinarian/manager.
- Ensure vaccination schedules and medication are followed correctly.
3. Feed & Water Management
- Monitor feed consumption and ensure proper feed distribution.
- Check water quality and supply systems regularly.
- Control feed wastage and maintain feed stock records.
4. Production Monitoring
- Track egg production or broiler weight gain and growth performance.
- Maintain production records and daily reports.
- Ensure targets for FCR (Feed Conversion Ratio) and mortality are met.
5. Staff Supervision
- Manage and supervise farm workers.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure work completion.
- Train workers on hygiene, handling birds, and safety practices.
6. Equipment & Infrastructure
- Monitor farm equipment (feeders, drinkers, fans, lighting systems).
- Report and coordinate repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure proper ventilation and temperature control.
7. Record Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly farm reports.
- Record mortality, medication, feed usage, and production data.
- Report issues to farm manager/owner regularly.
- Ensure birds are managed as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor flock behavior, mortality, and health conditions daily.
