About Kalike
Kalike, an Associate Organization of TATA Trusts, strives to facilitate deep, large-scale, and long-term impact on the quality of life through interventions in education and livelihoods in Yadgir and neighboring districts in northern Karnataka. Under its long-term vision as an institution, by converging with other portfolios of Kalike, various government departments, and Non-Profit Organizations, Kalike seeks to address these interrelated domains while keeping Education as a core area of focus.
Currently, Kalike focuses on ensuring quality education to rural and deprived children in the Yadgir & Koppal districts of Karnataka. The initiative plans to make long-term investments towards improving the quality of education, ranging from pre-school to high school education, health, livelihood, and skill development, as part of an end-to-end approach over a period. It is hoped that such focused engagement would:
- Have a visible impact on the quality of life for the most deprived communities.
- Provide insights into systemic reform which will have the potential to inform policy.
About Parag
The Parag Initiative of Tata Trusts aims to strengthen the children's literature sector in India to enable a culture of reading among children. To achieve this, Parag supports:
- The development of and access to good quality storybooks for children in Indian languages.
- School and community libraries so that children have free access to books and an open, vibrant environment that supports reading for pleasure.
- Professional development courses, working alongside teachers, librarians, and facilitators to develop their capacity to engage with children's literature and create a relationship between books and children.
Parag nurtures the children's literature sector through awards, professional courses, and creating platforms for linking stakeholders. Parag is a pan-India initiative and is also the India chapter of the International Board of Books for Young Readers (IBBY). The Parag Initiative is anchored at Kalike.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Infrastructure: Anchor the development of Parag's new website. Actively manage, review, and regularly update the content and performance of the current website.
- Content Creation & Multimedia Documentation: Collaborate on institutional content creation and documentation, including audio, video, photo assets, and extensive coverage of field events and workshops (requires travel).
- Vendor & Partner Coordination: Manage external partners and creative vendors, including website/design agencies, photographers, videographers, editors, and graphic designers.
- Outreach Materials: Ideate, format, and execute high-impact communication and outreach materials across various print and digital formats, collaborating closely with other Parag verticals.
- Impact Storytelling: Systematically document program impact and outcomes through case studies, quarterly/annual reports, media campaigns, and compelling print/digital impact stories.
- Project Management: Support and assist the core functions of the communication and dissemination vertical for the Parag Initiative.
Job Requirements & QualificationsKnowledge & Skills
- Proven expertise in website design, development workflow processes, and day-to-day management.
- Strong aesthetic sense, excellent eye for detail, and visual layout alignment.
- Working knowledge of creative design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDRAW, or Canva).
- Deep expertise in written, digital, and visual storytelling.
- Demonstrated experience in managing both internal and external branding and corporate communications.
- Strong project management, multi-tasking, and stakeholder liaison capabilities.
Core Competencies
- Solid baseline understanding of website development stages, including wireframing and UI-UX principles.
- Proficiency in social media strategy and content creation (specifically tailored for Instagram and LinkedIn).
- High coordination capability with the ability to proactively follow up with multi-tier stakeholders and drive strong execution.
- Familiarity with photography and videography, including an aesthetic understanding of framing, lighting, and composition.
- Complete professional proficiency in English and Hindi (both reading and writing).
Required Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in branding, marketing, or corporate communications, preferably within the non-profit, developmental, or NGO sectors.
