Job Summary
The Site Engineer (Civil) is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing construction activities at project sites. The role involves ensuring quality construction, adherence to project schedules, compliance with safety standards, and effective coordination with clients, contractors, consultants, and project teams.
Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Supervision
- Supervise daily construction activities as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Ensure work is executed according to project timelines and quality standards.
- Monitor labor productivity and site progress.
- Coordinate site activities with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
2. Project Planning & Coordination
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, and clients.
- Attend project meetings and provide progress updates.
- Resolve technical issues arising during construction.
3. Quality Control
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Verify materials used on-site meet project specifications.
- Implement quality assurance procedures and maintain quality records.
- Ensure corrective actions are taken for any quality deviations.
4. Quantity Survey & Billing
- Measure work quantities and prepare progress reports.
- Verify contractor bills and work completion status.
- Assist in preparing project estimates and cost monitoring.
- Maintain records of material consumption and site expenses.
5. Safety Management
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections.
- Report and address safety hazards immediately.
- Promote a safe working environment for all site personnel.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily site reports, progress reports, and project documentation.
- Record site instructions, approvals, and work completion details.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports.
- Ensure proper filing of drawings, BOQs, and technical documents.
7. Material & Resource Management
- Monitor material requirements and coordinate procurement.
- Ensure proper storage and utilization of construction materials.
- Track inventory and minimize material wastage.
- Coordinate equipment and manpower requirements.
8. Client Relationship Management
- Maintain professional communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Address client concerns and provide timely updates.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through quality project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E in Civil Engineering.
- 2–5+ years of experience in residential, commercial, or villa construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
