Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented General Ledger (GL) Accounting Senior Associate to manage the organization’s general ledger activities. This role will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes.
Key Responsibilities: General Ledger Management: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing and posting journal entries, ensuring accurate coding and proper documentation.
Month-End & Year-End Close: Complete all activities for the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring all accounting entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner. Account Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, ensuring all variances are investigated and resolved.
Ledger Scrutiny: Perform GL review & rationalise the balances held therein; identify & clear legacy issues if any, in line with accounting principles & internal policies.
Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS) and internal controls, ensuring accuracy and consistency of financial data.
Variance Analysis: Analyze financial data and identify trends, providing variance analysis to management to support decision-making processes.
Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for general ledger.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve GL processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with financial policies.
Qualifications / Technical skills Commerce graduate with MBA (Finance) or PG in Finance or equivalent with 5-7 yrs of experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles & general ledger functions.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar) and proficiency with Excel.
Personality and Interpersonal Skills Ability to work as a team to drive change and process improvements
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical & problem-solving skills on accounting related matters on a day-to day basis.
Ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Must be flexible in terms of timing of work.

Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
