Job Purpose
Responsible for testing and validation of inverters, UPS systems, battery packs, chargers and other power-electronic products to ensure compliance with defined specifications, quality requirements and safety standards before release to production/customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, performance and safety testing of inverters, UPS, battery packs, chargers and related products.
- Conduct testing at incoming, in-process, final inspection and PDI stages as applicable.
- Verify product parameters against approved specifications, drawings, datasheets and test procedures.
- Perform inverter testing including:
- Output voltage and frequency
- Output waveform / THD
- No-load and full-load performance
- Efficiency
- Charging performance
- Changeover time
- Overload and short-circuit protection
- Battery low/high voltage protection
- Thermal performance
- Perform LiFePO₄ battery pack testing, including:
- Cell voltage verification
- Pack voltage and current
- Charging/discharging performance
- Capacity testing
- BMS functionality
- Cell balancing
- Over-voltage / under-voltage protection
- Over-current / short-circuit protection
- Temperature protection
- SOC/SOH verification where applicable
- Conduct load testing and endurance testing as per approved test plans.
- Carry out failure analysis and troubleshooting of defective products and identify probable root causes.
- Support R&D and Engineering during product development, validation and design modification testing.
- Prepare and maintain test reports, inspection records, test data and test certificates.
- Maintain proper product traceability and test records.
- Ensure testing equipment and test setups are suitable and calibrated.
- Identify abnormal test results and initiate NCR / CAPA where required.
- Support root-cause analysis, corrective action and verification of effectiveness.
- Develop and improve testing procedures, check sheets, test fixtures and work instructions.
- Ensure safe handling of high-current batteries, electrical equipment and power-electronic systems during testing.
- Support internal and external audits related to product testing and quality.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, R&D, Service and Engineering teams for resolution of testing-related issues.
Technical Skills Required
- Good knowledge of inverters, UPS, SMPS, chargers and power-electronic circuits.
- Working knowledge of LiFePO₄ battery packs and BMS.
- Understanding of electrical measurements and test equipment.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Digital multimeter
- Clamp meter
- Oscilloscope
- AC/DC power source
- Electronic load / resistive load bank
- Battery charge/discharge tester
- Power analyzer
- Insulation resistance tester
- Hi-pot / dielectric strength tester
- Ability to read schematics, circuit diagrams and technical specifications.
- Basic understanding of CAN / RS485 / Modbus is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Excel and preparation of technical test reports.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in inverter, UPS, lithium battery, BMS, solar power systems, chargers or power electronics manufacturing/testing will be preferred.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
