We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) of English to join our academic faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a strong foundation in language, literature, and communication skills for students in Grades 6 through 9. The role requires a deep understanding of the CBSE curriculum, NEP 2020 guidelines, and the ability to foster a lifelong appreciation for the English language.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery & Lesson Planning: Design and execute comprehensive, engaging lesson plans for prose, poetry, and grammar. Prepare daily instructional materials, including interactive presentations and detailed notes.
- Assessment & Evaluation: Develop and administer diverse formative and summative assessments, including MCQs, analytical essays, and reading comprehension worksheets. Track student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Inclusive Education: Implement differentiated teaching strategies that accommodate diverse learning speeds and styles, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment where all students can actively participate.
- Language Development: Focus on enhancing the core competencies of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Utilize bilingual support techniques when introducing complex grammar or literary concepts to ensure clear comprehension.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a structured, positive, and disciplined learning environment that encourages student participation and respect.
- Co-Curricular Engagement: Organize and mentor students for literary activities such as debates, elocutions, spell-bees, drama, and contributions to the school magazine or newsletter.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or Master’s Degree (M.A.) in English from a recognized university.
- Professional Degree: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with English as a primary teaching subject.
- Certification: CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) Paper-II or equivalent STET qualification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience teaching English at the middle or secondary level (Grades 6–10) in a CBSE school.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using smartboard technology, educational software, and digital tools for interactive presentations and classroom management.
