A leading Cancer & Super Speciality Hospital in Junagadh is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Medical Oncologist to join its Oncology Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with various types of cancer while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive cancer care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage patients with solid tumors, hematological malignancies, and other oncological conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive care.
- Evaluate patients through consultations, investigations, and ongoing clinical assessments.
- Monitor treatment response, manage side effects, and modify treatment protocols as required.
- Collaborate with Surgical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Pathologists, and other specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board discussions and case reviews.
- Provide counselling and education to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and quality standards.
- Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and academic activities where applicable.
Eligibility Criteria:
- DM / DrNB Medical Oncology (Mandatory).
- MD/DNB General Medicine with superspeciality qualification in Medical Oncology.
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC).
- Minimum 2–10+ years of experience in Medical Oncology preferred.
- Strong clinical expertise in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and cancer management.
- Excellent communication, patient management, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
