Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and execution-focused Junior Merchandiser to support our merchandising team in managing buyer communication, sampling, order tracking, and production coordination. This role requires strong follow-up skills, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sampling & Development
- Coordinate with design and sampling teams for development of proto, fit, and pre-production samples
- Track sample timelines and ensure on-time submissions to buyers
- Maintain records of comments, revisions, and approvals
- Follow up regularly to avoid delays
Buyer Coordination
- Assist in day-to-day communication with buyers
- Share updates on sampling, approvals, and production status
- Ensure buyer requirements are clearly understood and executed
Order Execution
- Support in managing orders from purchase order receipt to shipment
- Track Time & Action (T&A) calendar and highlight delays
- Ensure all approvals (fabric, trims, fit, PPS) are in place before bulk production
Production Coordination
- Work closely with production, cutting, stitching, and finishing teams
- Monitor production progress and flag issues early
- Help maintain timelines and quality standards
Fabric & Trim Follow-ups
- Coordinate with sourcing team for fabric and trim availability
- Track inward timelines and ensure no delays in production
Documentation
- Maintain organized records of purchase orders, tech packs, sample approvals, and production files
- Assist in preparing shipment-related documentation if required
Required Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Basic understanding of garments, fabrics, and trims
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Strong follow-up and coordination skills
- Basic knowledge of Excel and email communication
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate (Apparel/Textile background preferred)
- Internship or experience in export house or garment factory
- Basic understanding of sampling stages and production flow
