About the Role
As BIG FM prepares to launch its new digital platform, this role will be responsible for building a strong and scalable content IP pipeline — including original stories, syndicated formats, creator-led shows, and long-format narrative properties.
This position sits at the intersection of editorial judgment, commercial negotiation, and IP strategy, ensuring that the platform consistently acquires and develops compelling, monetisation-ready content.
Role Purpose
To build and manage a robust pipeline of:
- Original IP
- Writers & creators
- Syndicated shows
- Licensed storytelling formats
Ensuring consistent flow of high-quality, commercially viable content for the BIG App.
Key Responsibilities
IP & Story Sourcing
- Identify and source high-potential story submissions, manuscripts, podcast ideas, and episodic formats
- Evaluate IPs based on narrative strength, audience appeal, scalability, and monetisation potential
- Build strong relationships with writers, agents, creators, and production partners
Commissioning & Deal Structuring
- Lead negotiations for commissioning, licensing, and acquisition deals
- Structure agreements aligned with platform economics
- Ensure rights clarity (audio, video, adaptation, exclusivity, territorial rights, etc.)
Contract & Payout Management
- Oversee end-to-end contracting process
- Manage content budgets and payout schedules
- Track deliverables, timelines, and contractual compliance
Pilot & Testing Coordination
- Work with production and programming teams to launch pilots
- Analyse early performance metrics (engagement, completion rates, drop-offs)
- Recommend scale-up, optimisation, or discontinuation decisions
IP Scaling & Portfolio Management
- Partner with content leadership to expand successful IPs into:
- Multi-season formats
- Franchise extensions
- Cross-format adaptations (audio to video/community)
- Maintain a balanced content slate across genres and audience segments
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5–8 years of experience in:
- Content acquisition
- OTT commissioning
- Audio storytelling platforms
- Publishing or digital IP ecosystems
- Strong negotiation skills with a clear understanding of licensing structures
- Strong editorial instinct and narrative judgment
- Experience managing creator ecosystems and rights contracts
- Comfortable working in fast-scaling digital content environments
Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
