The Opportunity
This role is for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) who will lead strategic initiatives through all stages from end-to-end
What You’ll Do
- Develop project plan and oversees from conception and planning to implementation, including strategies, processes, and resources
- Ensures objectives are clearly defined and agreed to across the business unit.
- Responsible for managing schedule and task details by utilizing project management tools such as reports, tracking Drives allocated resources from other organizations to achieve on-time and within budget performance objectives for the project
- Provide technical leadership to team members to achieve goals. Interfaces and coordinates with customers to define objectives, provide status updates and prepare for release and deployment.
- Provide engineering and business process expertise to team and other members on various significantly complex programs/issues.
- Identify and resolves potential complications within the program and develops solutions for resolution.
- Participate in annual Strategic Planning cycles where we identify high-value problems to tackle in future programs.
- Drive Quarterly business reviews, Gross margin improvement programs etc
- Ownership to broadcast KPI of the processes, Backlogs, Cycle-times, Quality Etc. on weekly, monthly and quarterly cadence as required.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent experience in Electrical / Mechanical
Engineering or equivalent
- PMP Certification / MBA - Operations
- 7 - 12 years overall experience with 2 Years of demonstrated Technical Management / Supervisory experience would be an asset.
Job Specific Knowledge:
- Strong background in an engineering, technical, and/or business field
- Extensive experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to bring people together from a wide variety of organizations across a company
- Experienced with change management across complex organizations
- Highly data driven, able to develop meaningful KPIs and metrics that measure the value created by the programs that you lead
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to maintain alignment across a wide range of stakeholders
- Must be comfortable presenting to management at all levels, including executive
- Sound understanding of business processes related to Product & Engineering Change Management
- Knowledge of PLM / ERP / PDM / 3D CAD (eg SAP, Teamcenter, NX)
- Working knowledge of Project Management tools (eg Jira, Agile, Smartsheets)
- Working knowledge in Data Management and analytics (Tableau & Power BI dashboards, python
- Familiar with Operations and Supply Chain functions
- Exposure to Semiconductor domain
- Demonstrate the highest level of ethical conduct reflecting Applied Materials' core values.
