About the Job
We are looking for an experienced Structural Analysis Specialist (CAE Engineer) with strong expertise in FEA and Abaqus to support design verification and optimization. The role involves performing advanced non-linear structural analysis, durability assessments, and failure investigation for components and sub-assemblies. You will work closely with design teams to improve product performance, reliability, and efficiency using simulation-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural CAE analysis (strength & durability) on parts and sub-assemblies using Abaqus.
- Conduct non-linear simulations and validate designs against performance requirements.
- Develop high-quality FE models using Hypermesh (2D/3D meshing – midsurface, tetra/hex).
- Interpret results, identify root causes of failure, and prepare detailed CAE reports.
- Collaborate with design teams to recommend design improvements and optimization solutions.
- Evaluate structural feasibility of concepts and identify potential risks or defects early.
- Apply structural optimization techniques to enhance performance and reliability.
- Support vibration analysis (Ansys – optional) and other advanced simulations as needed.
- Continuously explore and implement new tools, methods, and best practices.
- Drive analysis efficiency, reducing turnaround time with innovative approaches.
- Demonstrate ownership, proactive problem-solving, and strong stakeholder communication.
Requirements
- Education: M.Tech in Mechanical / Structural / Design Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in CAE/FEA-based design verification.
- Core Skills: Strong fundamentals in FEA, Strength of Materials, and Theory of Machines.
- Mandatory: Abaqus (advanced level – non-linear analysis) & Recurdyn (MBD)
- Preferred: ANSYS (vibration analysis – optional)
- Meshing: Hypermesh (2D midsurface & 3D tetra/hex meshing)
- Proven experience in structural analysis, durability studies, and failure investigation.
- Ability to interpret simulation results, identify issues, and recommend design improvements.
- Exposure to structural optimization techniques and performance enhancement methods.
- Background from reputed MNCs preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
Excellent communication (verbal & written) and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven with ownership mindset, learning attitude, and ability to meet timelines.
- Strong planning skills to ensure timely project execution and delivery
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with senior management and cross-functional teams
- Experience in product development and new technology initiatives.
