The candidate must have strong experience in industrial procurement, mining procurement, machinery spares, plant consumables, vendor development, purchase planning, supply coordination and cost control. Candidates having prior experience in the Graphite Industry / Mining Industry / Mineral Processing Industry will be given immediate preference.

Key Responsibilities:
- Handle complete procurement and supply activities for mining, plant, production, process, electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, stores, projects and allied departments.
- Plan, coordinate and execute purchase of machinery, equipment, spares, consumables, electrical items, mechanical items, mining items, safety items, tools, lubricants, packing materials and other industrial requirements.
- Understand the requirement of plant and mines and ensure timely availability of materials without affecting production, maintenance, project execution and despatch activities.
- Coordinate with Production, Process, Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Stores, Mining, Accounts, Commercial and Management teams for proper procurement planning.
- Develop, evaluate and maintain reliable vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, dealers, service providers and contractors for industrial and mining requirements.
- Prepare enquiries, obtain quotations, make comparative statements, negotiate rates, finalize vendors and prepare purchase orders after approval.
- Ensure proper price negotiation, quality verification, delivery timeline, payment terms, warranty, guarantee and after-sales support before finalization of any purchase.
- Maintain proper vendor database for machinery, spares, equipment, electrical items, mechanical items, plant consumables, mining materials and emergency requirements.
- Identify alternate vendors and substitute materials wherever possible to reduce cost, avoid dependency and improve supply reliability.
- Ensure urgent procurement support during plant breakdown, machine stoppage, mining requirement, production urgency and project execution.
- Monitor pending indents, pending purchase orders, pending deliveries, delayed materials and advance payments given to suppliers.
- Coordinate with Stores Department for stock position, minimum stock level, slow-moving items, critical spares and reorder requirements.
- Ensure that critical spares and essential materials are always available for smooth running of plant and mining operations.
- Check and verify purchase requisitions, technical specifications, quantity, urgency, previous purchase rate, vendor history and stock availability before procurement.
- Coordinate with transporters, vendors and site teams for timely dispatch, delivery, receipt and documentation of materials.
- Ensure proper documentation relating to quotation, approval, purchase order, GST invoice, challan, e-way bill, warranty documents, delivery proof and payment recommendation.
- Support project procurement for plant expansion, machinery installation, electrical works, civil works, fabrication works and mining development activities.
- Track market rates for major industrial items, steel, electrical materials, mechanical spares, lubricants, consumables and other high-value purchases.
- Prevent unnecessary, duplicate, excess or unauthorized purchase by ensuring proper verification and approval system.
- Submit regular procurement reports, pending material reports, vendor performance reports, cost-saving reports and purchase analysis to the management.
- Ensure full transparency, accountability, discipline and cost control in all procurement and supply activities.
Candidate Profile: The candidate must have
- Strong experience in procurement and supply chain management in mining, minerals, industrial plants or manufacturing units.
- Practical knowledge of machinery, plant spares, electrical items, mechanical items, mining materials and industrial consumables.
- Good understanding of production, maintenance, stores and project-related purchase requirements.
- Strong vendor development and negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify genuine vendors, compare rates and finalize cost-effective purchases.
- Good knowledge of GST invoices, e-way bills, purchase orders, delivery challans, payment terms and basic commercial documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and support urgent requirements during breakdowns and production emergencies.
- Strong follow-up skills with vendors, transporters, departments and site teams.
- Practical, field-oriented and problem-solving approach.
- Honest, disciplined and cost-conscious working style.
Preferred Experience: Candidates having experience in any of the following sectors will be preferred:

Candidates who have worked in the Graphite Industry will be given immediate preference for selection and hiring.
Qualification: Graduate / MBA / B.Tech / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mining, Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Commerce or any relevant field.
Candidates having strong practical experience in industrial procurement and mining procurement will be given preference over qualification alone.
Experience Required: Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchase, supply chain, vendor development or materials management in mining, minerals, industrial or manufacturing sectors.
Highly experienced candidates from the graphite, mining or mineral processing sector may be considered on priority.

Remuneration: Salary shall be based on experience, industrial exposure, mining knowledge, vendor network and suitability of the candidate.
Higher remuneration may be considered for candidates having strong experience in Graphite Industry / Mining Industry / Mineral Processing Industry and proven ability to reduce purchase cost, develop reliable vendors and ensure timely material availability.
