The Cashier is responsible for handling customer billing, receiving payments, maintaining accurate transaction records, and providing excellent customer service. The role requires attention to detail, honesty, and the ability to manage cash and digital transactions efficiently.
Billing & Payment Handling
- Generate accurate bills and invoices for customer purchases.
- Receive payments through cash, UPI, debit cards, credit cards, and other approved payment methods.
- Verify payment details and ensure proper transaction processing.
- Issue receipts and maintain records of all transactions.
Cash Management
- Maintain and balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Ensure proper handling and safekeeping of cash and valuables.
- Reconcile daily collections and submit reports to management.
- Report any cash discrepancies immediately.
Customer Service
- Greet customers courteously and assist them during the billing process.
- Resolve basic customer queries related to billing and payments.
- Coordinate with the sales team to ensure a smooth customer experience.
Record Keeping & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of sales transactions and refunds.
- Prepare daily cash and sales reports.
- Follow company policies regarding cash handling and financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with GST and other applicable regulations.
Administrative Support
- Assist in maintaining customer records and transaction documentation.
- Support stock verification and inventory-related activities when required.
- Coordinate with accounts and store management for reconciliation activities.
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
