Job Description;
Kumar Food Machinery Company, a manufacturer of commercial kitchen equipment and food machinery, is looking for an experienced SolidWorks Designer to join our design and engineering team.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in 3D modelling, mechanical design, fabrication drawings, and sheet metal design, preferably in the commercial kitchen equipment, food machinery, industrial equipment, or related manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities;
Create detailed 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
Prepare accurate 2D fabrication and manufacturing drawings.
Design commercial kitchen equipment, food-processing machinery, and related components.
Develop sheet metal parts, assemblies, and fabrication drawings.
Prepare BOMs (Bill of Materials) and maintain proper design documentation.
Modify and improve existing product designs based on production requirements.
Coordinate with production and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
Select appropriate materials, dimensions, and manufacturing methods.
Ensure designs meet required quality, functionality, and safety standards.
Support the team in developing new products and customized equipment.
Required Skills & Qualifications;
Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a SolidWorks Designer.
Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks 3D modelling and assemblies.
Experience in sheet metal design and fabrication drawings.
Good understanding of mechanical drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
Experience with commercial kitchen equipment, food machinery, industrial equipment, or fabrication will be an added advantage.
Ability to understand customer requirements and convert them into practical designs.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience:
Candidates with experience in designing commercial kitchen equipment, stainless-steel equipment, food-processing machinery, industrial machinery, or sheet-metal fabrication products are preferred.
