Job Title: Senior Integration Specialist (Enterprise Apps) with MuleSoft, SQL Server & Microsoft Fabric
Job Overview:
As a key member of our IT team, the Senior Integration Specialist designs and builds robust data flow channels to implement scalable API-led connectivity and data integration solutions connecting diverse enterprise systems and external services to ensure seamless, secure, and real-time data exchange. With extensive experience delivering enterprise integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, complemented by strong SQL Server skills and hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, they will design, develop, and enable reliable data movement and actionable insights across platforms. This role demands exceptional technical proficiency, leadership qualities, and a proven track record in delivering complex integration initiatives while ensuring performance, security, and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities:

Integration Solution Development:

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of sophisticated integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, applying API-led connectivity (System/Process/Experience APIs) to enable seamless communication between diverse systems.

Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and validation workflows leveraging SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning) and Microsoft Fabric components (e.g., Lakehouse/Warehouse and Data Pipelines) as appropriate.

Reporting:

Partner with analytics stakeholders to enable reporting and semantic modeling needs using SQL Server and Microsoft Fabric (including integration patterns that support Power BI consumption).

Collaborate closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements, translating them into MuleSoft APIs/integrations and downstream Fabric/SQL Server data products.

Management and Collaboration:

Oversee and manage complex integration efforts, collaborating closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams.

Mentor a team of developers, providing guidance, training, and technical expertise in integration best practices and tools.

Collaborate with database administrators and other IT teams to ensure data security, integrity, and optimal database performance.

Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting:

Monitor integration processes, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance to exceed predefined service level agreements (SLAs).

Create and maintain detailed documentation for integration processes, data mappings, and report specifications.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data integration, reporting, and transformation, and drive their adoption within the team.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

7+ years of proven experience as an Integration Developer, with a focus on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, plus strong SQL Server expertise and exposure to Microsoft Fabric.

Exceptional understanding of integration concepts, data transformation strategies, and report development.

Proficiency in designing and implementing complex integration workflows using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Anypoint Studio, API Manager, and Runtime Manager), including secure API design and deployment patterns.

Experience with data ingestion, cleansing, validation, and transformation using SQL Server and/or Microsoft Fabric (e.g., Lakehouse/Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Data Pipelines, notebooks, pyspark) or comparable modern data platforms.

Strong T-SQL skills including querying, optimization, and data modeling.

Strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to mentoring a team.

Preferred Skills:

MuleSoft Anypoint Platform certification(s) (e.g., Developer, Platform Architect, Integration Architect) and experience with API governance, reusable assets, and CI/CD for Mule applications.

Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services (e.g., OneLake, Data Factory/Azure Integration Runtime patterns, Azure SQL) is a strong asset.
