Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced *Data Protection Governance & Compliance Specialist* to lead governance, compliance, audit, and regulatory initiatives related to enterprise data protection and information security. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in implementing and monitoring security governance frameworks, conducting compliance assessments, and supporting audit activities in highly regulated environments. Experience working with *Government or Semi-Government organizations* is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain data protection governance and compliance frameworks across the organization.
* Conduct compliance assessments, internal audits, and gap analyses against regulatory and industry standards.
* Ensure adherence to *NCA (DCC/ECC)* requirements, *NIST, and **ISO 27001* security controls and governance practices.
* Coordinate with technical, legal, and business teams to implement corrective and preventive actions for compliance findings.
* Prepare and maintain governance documentation, policies, standards, procedures, and audit evidence.
* Support external audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance reporting activities.
* Monitor changes in applicable regulations, standards, and security best practices, and assess their impact on the organization.
* Provide guidance and awareness to stakeholders on data protection governance and compliance requirements.
Required Skills
* 5+ years of experience in *Governance, Compliance, Audit, or Information Security* roles.
* Strong knowledge of *NCA (DCC/ECC)* compliance requirements.
* Hands-on experience with *NIST* and *ISO 27001* frameworks and controls.
* Experience conducting compliance audits, risk assessments, and control reviews.
* Understanding of data protection regulations, security governance, and enterprise compliance practices.
* Excellent analytical, documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Mandatory Requirements
* *5+ years of relevant experience.*
* *Government or Semi-Government project experience is mandatory.*
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor certification.
* Experience with enterprise GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) tools.
* Familiarity with security risk management and regulatory reporting processes.
Pay: ₹50,510.67 - ₹100,534.77 per month
