Role overview
This role supports client’s corporate finance and FP&A operations by owning day-to-day application support, data reliability, and continuous improvement for key finance platforms including Workday, FIS, and Bloomberg. Resource will be the first point of contact for finance system issues and requests, driving fast resolution, clean controls, and predictable monthly and quarterly cycles.
Key responsibilities:

Triage and resolve Workday issues; manage incidents through closure with clear communication and documentation. TPG and Bloomberg are nice to have.

Monitor and support critical finance processes (close, reporting refreshes, feeds and integrations) to protect finance deadlines.

Administer user access, roles and security requests in partnership with IT and Security; maintain audit-ready evidence.

Maintain finance master data (hierarchies, cost centers, reference data) and coordinate governance changes with Finance leadership.

Perform reconciliations and root-cause analysis for data and interface issues; implement preventative fixes and runbooks.

Gather requirements and deliver enhancements end-to-end (prioritization, UAT, release notes, training) with minimal disruption to close.

Coordinate with vendors and internal technology teams on patches, upgrades, and releases; validate changes and follow change control practices.
Required skills and qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field.

5+ years supporting enterprise finance applications or finance operations with deep systems exposure.

Hands-on experience with Workday Financials and workflows in a finance environment.

Experience supporting month-end and quarter-end close and FP&A reporting cycles in a deadline-driven environment.

Strong analytical troubleshooting skills (reconciliations, data lineage, root-cause analysis).

Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical issues into business impact, options and next steps.

Experience with ticketing and change management tools (ServiceNow, Jira, or equivalent); advanced Excel skills (SQL a plus).
Must have skills:

Hands-on experience with Workday Financials support and administration.

Strong finance operations and FP&A systems support experience.

Experience supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes.

Strong analytical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.

Experience with user access management, governance and controls.
Nice to have skills:

Experience operating in SOX-aligned or audit-aware controls for access, change management and evidence retention.

Experience supporting integrations between ERP, treasury and market data tools.

Workday, treasury systems or Bloomberg certifications or formal training (or equivalent practical experience).
