Position Summary
The Computer Science Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality education by developing engaging lessons that teach students how computer systems, algorithms, and software development work. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and communicates complex technical concepts in an enthusiastic and accessible way.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with educational standards (e.g., CBSE, IGCSE, or IB).
- Instruction: Teach students fundamental programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++), algorithms, data structures, networking, and basic hardware operations.
- Hands-On Learning: Facilitate interactive coding workshops, labs, and project-based learning to reinforce theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.
- Assessment: Evaluate student performance through assignments, quizzes, and major projects, providing constructive feedback to support their academic progress.
- Classroom Management: Ensure a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment while maintaining functional and updated computer lab equipment.
- Extracurricular Activities: Organize and supervise technology-related clubs, such as coding clubs, hackathons, or robotics teams.
- Collaboration: Partner with fellow educators to integrate computational thinking across the broader school curriculum, and update parents on student progress.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Education.
- Certifications: Teaching credential/license (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, QTS) and relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco) are highly desirable.
- Experience: Proven experience teaching computer science at the middle, high school, or university level.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in multiple programming languages and a solid understanding of software engineering principles.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for mentoring young learners.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Porur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
