Role description
Summary
A hands-on Senior Platform Engineer/SRE who can independently design, deploy, integrate, and operationalize cloud-native platforms, with strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, GitOps, PostgreSQL, observability, and enterprise system integrations. This resource should be capable of owning the platform end-to-end with minimal supervision.
Senior Platform Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to lead the deployment and operationalization of a centralized Source of Truth (SoT) platform within a cloud-native environment.
Required Technical Skills
- Kubernetes (EKS) – Deploying and operating production workloads in AWS EKS
- GitOps & CI/CD – Helm, ArgoCD/Flux, automated promotion pipelines, infrastructure-as-code practices
- AWS Cloud Services – EKS, IAM, Secrets Manager, RDS/PostgreSQL, networking, monitoring
- PostgreSQL Administration – Schema design, performance tuning, operations, backup/recovery
- API & Systems Integration – REST APIs, service integration, data ingestion pipelines
- Observability Platforms – Experience with Datadog, Splunk, AppDynamics, or similar monitoring ecosystems
- SRE / Production Operations – Incident management, operational readiness, runbooks, deployment and rollback procedures
- Secrets & Security Management – Secure credential management, RBAC, platform security best practices
Preferred Skills
- pgVector / Vector Databases and semantic or hybrid search implementations
- ServiceNow CMDB Integration and service dependency mapping
- AI/Agent Platform Integration (MCP, RAG, or Agentic AI architectures)
- Enterprise Metadata or Source-of-Truth platforms
Experience Requirements
- 7+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE roles
- 3+ years supporting Kubernetes-based production environments
- Proven experience deploying and operating enterprise platforms in AWS
- Experience integrating multiple operational systems (CMDB, observability, deployment tooling, cloud services)
