Role Summary
We are looking for experienced and dedicated Staff Nurses with 5–7 years of hands-on clinical experience who are interested in working in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (OG), NICU, or Operation Theatre (OT).
The role requires strong clinical competence, adherence to protocols, teamwork with doctors and support staff, and the ability to function effectively in a high-acuity hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities (Common)
- Provide safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care to patients
- Accurately assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and vitals
- Administer medications and treatments as per doctor’s orders
- Maintain nursing notes, charts, and electronic/physical records
- Follow hospital infection control, safety, and quality protocols
- Communicate effectively with doctors, patients, and attendants
- Support junior nurses and nursing students through guidance and supervision
Obstetrics & Gynaecology (OG)
- Assist in antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care
- Monitor labour progress and support normal and assisted deliveries
- Assist doctors during normal delivery, LSCS, and obstetric procedures
- Monitor mother and newborn post-delivery and provide breastfeeding guidance
- Educate patients on postnatal care, hygiene, and recovery
NICU
- Provide specialized nursing care for newborns and premature babies
- Monitor vitals, oxygenation, feeding, IV lines, and medications
- Handle neonatal equipment such as incubators, warmers, ventilators, infusion pumps
- Maintain strict infection control and aseptic techniques
- Support parents with counselling and education regarding newborn care
Operation Theatre (OT)
- Assist in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care
- Prepare OT, instruments, and consumables as per surgical requirements
- Follow sterilization, OT protocols, and surgical safety checklists
- Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during procedures
- Ensure proper handling and documentation of surgical instruments and materials
Required Qualifications
- GNM / B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing
Experience
- 5–7 years of clinical nursing experience
- Prior experience in OG / NICU / OT is mandatory (any one or multiple areas)
- Experience in multi-speciality hospitals preferred
