Job Description – PGT Mathematics Teacher
Position: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Mathematics
Department: Mathematics
Reports To: Principal
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and qualified PGT Mathematics Teacher to teach senior secondary classes. The candidate should have strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management skills, and the ability to make mathematical concepts clear, engaging, and practical for students.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics to senior secondary classes as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver effective lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Explain complex mathematical concepts using simple and innovative teaching methods.
- Assess students through tests, assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Monitor students’ academic progress and provide appropriate feedback and support.
- Maintain proper classroom discipline and promote a positive learning environment.
- Prepare question papers, worksheets, study material, and remedial plans.
- Encourage logical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills among students.
- Maintain accurate academic records and complete school documentation on time.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, school events, and other academic activities.
- Provide guidance to students for board examinations and competitive examinations where required.
- Follow school policies, rules, and professional standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in Mathematics with B.Ed.
- Minimum required qualification as per applicable CBSE/State Board norms.
- Strong command of Mathematics and effective communication skills.
- Good classroom management and student-handling abilities.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and technology for teaching.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to school activities.
- Prior experience teaching Classes VIII–XII will be preferred.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
