Job Title: Academic Mentor (Hosteller)

Role Objective
The Academic Mentor acts as the primary bridge between students, parents, and the academic curriculum. Your mission is to drive student success by identifying learning gaps, providing data-backed guidance, and fostering a holistic development environment through both digital and physical touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Performance & Data Analytics
- Proactive Monitoring: Maintain a deep understanding of daily schedules and lesson plans to provide relevant, timely support.
- Data-Driven Evaluation: Track student progress via Daily Practice Problems (DPP), Daily Test Series (DTS), and Chapter Wise Exams (CWE).
- Trend Analysis: Identify performance patterns (improvement vs. decline) and investigate discrepancies—such as high practice scores failing to translate into high test scores.
- Corrective Action: Lead post-test doubt-clearing sessions and implement targeted interventions for underperforming students.
- Operational Excellence: Coordinate weekly tests and "Group Intervention Briefs" (GIB) while ensuring all grading (DPPs) is completed within a 24–48 hour window.
2. Hybrid Ecosystem Management
- App Integration: Facilitate the effective use of the learning app, specifically managing doubt forums and digital resources.
- Advocacy: Communicate the value of the hybrid model to stakeholders, ensuring high student engagement and minimal dropout rates.
- Attendance Oversight: Monitor participation across both online and offline platforms to ensure a seamless learning experience.
3. Holistic Student Mentorship
- Behavioral Guidance: Coach students on time management and adherence to academic timetables.
- Discipline & Welfare: Oversee hostel rounds to ensure a safe, disciplined environment conducive to study.
- Absence Management: Track absentee patterns for tests and organize mandatory make-up sessions.
- Motivation: Provide emotional and personal support to help students navigate the pressures of high-stakes testing.
4. Stakeholder Communication & Operations
- Parental Engagement: Build trust through regular updates regarding student attendance, test performance, and general well-being.
- Administrative Accuracy: Maintain meticulous records of student feedback and performance logs.
- Financial Liaison: Manage communication regarding fee structures, ensure timely collections, and maintain accurate records in the internal portal.
