Job Summary
Unipath Specialty Laboratory is seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accurate financial record-keeping. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping, and accounting software.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records and transactions.
- Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements.
- Generate invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Maintain vendor and customer ledgers.
- Assist in GST-related documentation and compliance.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and MIS as required.
- Ensure proper filing and maintenance of accounting documents.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary records.
- Coordinate with other departments for accounting-related requirements.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Freshers with strong accounting knowledge may also apply.
- Basic knowledge of GST and taxation.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime and MS Excel.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, or service industry accounting will be an added advantage.
