About the Role
Durall Systems India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a highly analytical and commercially driven Purchase Manager to lead the Procurement function. This role goes beyond routine purchasing—we are looking for someone who can establish robust procurement systems, optimize costs, improve inventory efficiency, strengthen vendor partnerships, and provide management with accurate, data-driven insights for informed decision-making.
The ideal candidate should be capable of transforming procurement into a strategic business function that improves profitability while ensuring uninterrupted material availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end procurement function across manufacturing and project operations.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies focused on cost optimization, operational efficiency, and business profitability.
- Identify and deliver measurable cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and commercial negotiations.
- Monitor and control material costs, procurement budgets, and overall purchasing performance.
- Optimize inventory levels by reducing excess stock, eliminating slow-moving inventory, and preventing stock-outs.
- Develop a strong vendor base, negotiate long-term commercial agreements, and improve supplier performance.
- Coordinate closely with Planning, Production, Projects, Stores, Finance, and Quality departments to ensure timely material availability.
- Establish procurement KPIs and monitor performance against defined targets.
- Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and MIS reports, providing management with clear visibility into:
- Procurement spend
- Cost-saving initiatives
- Vendor performance
- Purchase price variance (PPV)
- Inventory ageing
- Inventory turnover
- Material availability
- Budget vs. Actual procurement
- Open Purchase Orders
- Lead time analysis
- Present monthly procurement performance reports and actionable recommendations to senior management.
- Drive process improvements, digitization, and standardization within the procurement function.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA is an advantage.
- Proven experience in procurement leadership within the façade, aluminium, construction, manufacturing, or building materials industry.
- Strong commercial and financial understanding, with the ability to analyse procurement costs and business impact.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and MIS/dashboard reporting.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, planning, and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to convert procurement data into meaningful business insights for management.

Compensation
