2. Risk Assessment and Hazard Control
- Perform risk assessments for tasks, equipment, and work areas.
- Analyze potential hazards and implement control measures.
- Monitor high-risk activities such as working at heights, confined space entry, hot work, and lifting operations.
- Maintain risk assessment records and safety documentation.
3. Environmental Management
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
- Monitor waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation programs.
- Track environmental performance indicators such as emissions, water usage, and waste generation.
- Promote sustainable environmental practices.
4. Safety Training and Awareness
- Conduct induction training for new employees and contractors.
- Organize safety awareness programs, toolbox talks, and emergency drills.
- Train employees on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain training records and competency assessments.
5. Incident Investigation
- Investigate accidents, near misses, injuries, and environmental incidents.
- Determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Prepare incident reports and maintain investigation records.
- Track corrective and preventive actions until closure.
6. Emergency Preparedness and Response
- Develop emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
- Coordinate fire drills and emergency exercises.
- Ensure availability and maintenance of emergency equipment.
- Act as a member of the emergency response team during incidents.
7. Regulatory Compliance
- Monitor changes in EHS legislation and standards.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
- Support external inspections and regulatory audits.
- Maintain permits, licenses, and compliance records.
8. Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare monthly and annual EHS reports.
- Maintain safety statistics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Keep records of inspections, audits, incidents, and training activities.
- Submit compliance reports to management and regulatory authorities.
9. Contractor and Site Safety Management
- Review contractor safety plans and risk assessments.
- Monitor contractor activities for compliance with safety requirements.
- Conduct site safety inspections and observations.
- Ensure contractors use appropriate PPE and safe work practices.
10. Continuous Improvement
- Analyze safety trends and recommend improvements.
- Participate in management reviews and safety committee meetings.
- Support implementation of EHS management systems such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Drive initiatives to reduce incidents and improve environmental performance.
